WHEN BOEING LANDS OVER A HOUSE
Imagine you are at home with your family and suddenly you hear tiles flying off you roof and falling straight in front of your house. That’s exactly what people experienced in a Swiss village of Genthod in the evening on Friday, August 18th. This small village is used to airplanes – the residents watch machines approach landing at Geneva International Airport daily.
The exceptionally intense aerodynamic whirlwind was caused by Boeing 777, according to the airport spokesman. Intensive wind whirl of the landing aircraft then released the tiles on the roof. Events of this type, however, are something quite exceptional and so far no one was injured by them. The airport itself is prepared to cover the damages.
