DANGEROUS ENCOUNTER WITH A DRONE
Danger in the air called drone. One appeared dangerously close to an aircraft belonging to United Airlines landing at Newark Airport. Flight 135 from Zurich has already descended on the runway when the air traffic control unit alerted the pilot that there is a very close unmanned airplane. Fortunately, the pilot noticed it and landed safely.
“The incident happened about 3.5 kilometers southwest of the airport. We investigate the incident and we have also alerted the local authorities.” said American Federal Aviation Administration.
Penalties for flying with drones against the rules are in America (and not only there) more frequent. For example, one month ago a 54-year-old man from Arizona was arrested because his drone was preventing a firefighting airplane from helping in a giant forest fire about 160 miles north of Phoenix.
